The pop aficionado is looking for potential pop stars to audition for two brand new groups.

Got a future pop-star in your life? Know someone who would fit right in with the likes of Little Mix or Westlife?

If this sounds like you, or a friend or family member, you may be interested to hear that pop aficionado Louis Walsh is looking for potential girlband and boyband members for two brand new groups.

Walsh is interested in hearing from performers and singers between the ages of 16 and 21 who are interested in launching their careers in pop.

Applicants should send a video of themselves singing. This can be a YouTube video, a TikTok, an Instagram video, or it can simply be filmed on their phone.

They also will be required to send their details to Walsh’s company, including their full name, their date of birth and their phone number.

If they’ve made it to the live auditions, they will be contacted by Monday 15 November.

The auditions for the boyband will take place on 20 November, and the girlband auditions will take place on 21 November. Both will be held at Vicar Street in Dublin.

Speaking ahead of the auditions, Louis Walsh said: “Because of Covid guidelines and indeed the talent that we all see and hear every day online, I am asking people to go onto the site and send me a sample of them performing – or a link to their social account where we can find them.

“We will then call back finalists for a live audition. There is so much great talent here in Ireland and I’m really looking forward to the next few weeks.”

Interested applicants should send off their details and a sample of them singing to [email protected].
