He had some harsh words for his former boss.
For years now, Mariah Carey has been coming under criticism for her performances.
Yes, the legendary singer has seen her star dim over the last few years thanks to unfortunate performances like that of her New Year’s Eve slot in NYC.
And one person who isn’t holding back the punches is Mimi’s former choreographer and creative director, Anthony Burrell.
Burrell was fired after the previously mentioned New Year’s Eve performance and says that from his experience, Mariah has earned the title ‘diva’.
“It’s just typical Mariah,” he told Cosmopolitan. “Mariah is clear: when she doesn’t wanna do something, she doesn’t do it.
“She’s performing with lackluster and no fucks given, and it’s taking away her star.
“Working with an artist like Mariah, who’s not mover first, it’s always a challenge to get them to think physically and not just vocally. You always have to keep in mind that they’re a singer first.
“I wanted to give Mariah a modern push to revamp her, give her a fresher, more modern feel, make her more aware of her body and her lines, and not look like her feet hurt when she’s walking.”
Yikes!
Anthony’s honest review has been slammed by many hardcore Mariah fans, however, many who have seen her live recently echoed his sentiment.

The former creative director left his old boss with some simple advice, saying:
“You’re a legend. But you don’t care, your team doesn’t care. They’re not guiding and directing her.
“She’s back to where she was before. It’s not like she’s never looked this bad before; I just stepped her game up.”
