Megan Thee Stallion launches scholarship fund for women of colour around the world

Cassie Stokes

Not only did she make 2020 much better with WAP, but Megan Thee Stallion has now partnered with Amazon Music’s Rap Rotation to create a scholarship initiative.

Megan is currently studying health administration online part-time at Texas Southern University while also taking over the world with her insane rapping skills.

She told PEOPLE this summer that she chose to keep studying in honour of her mother, who passed away last year. “I want to get my degree because I really want my mom to be proud,” she said. “She saw me going to school before she passed.”

Rap Rotation have called the initiative the “Don’t Stop” scholarship, and it will give female students of colour $10,000 towards their studies anywhere in the world!

Like all good news these days the rapper announced the new partnership on her Instagram with the caption:

“COLLEGE HOTTIES LISTEN UP BECAUSE THIS ONE IS FOR YOU ‼️‼️‼️ I AM GIVING AWAY TWO 10,000 DOLLAR SCHOLARSHIPS TO WOMEN OF COLOUR PURSUING A DEGREE IN ANY FIELD OF STUDY IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD??? APPLY RIGHT NOW LINK IN MY BIO #DONTSTOPSCHOLARSHIP ? let’s get these degrees ladies ??”

The Don’t Stop initiative will be available for students pursuing an associate, bachelor, or post-graduate degree in any field of study in any part of the world.

The website reads: “Women remain underrepresented and undervalued in society, and female students of colour are at a larger disadvantage when it comes to access to financial resources.”

Women of colour from anywhere in the world, including Ireland, can apply on the website here.
