Beyoncé, Kanye West and Jay-Z, along with a host of other celebrities came together on Monday evening to launch a brand new music streaming service.
A number of music’s biggest names including Madonna, Rihanna and Daft Punk joined forces to launch Tidal, a streaming service that is being branded as the first artist-owned platform for music content.

The new service will compete with Spotify but unlike Spotify, it will not have a free tier.
Speaking at the launch, singer Alicia Keys stated that she hopes Tidal will “forever change the course of music history”.
A number of stars attended the #TIDALforALL event.
Other artists included Nicki Minaj, Usher, Arcade Fire, deadmau5 and Jack White.
