Calling all Niall Horan fans.

Mullingar native Niall has a huge following and they’re likely to go crazy for the news that he’s set to sign his first solo record deal.

According to The Sun, the 22-year-old is going to work with Simon Cowell’s label, SyCo.

He’s also likely to be managed by Modest, the same team who looked after One Direction in their heyday.

An insider told the publication:

“Niall is the band’s secret weapon — Modest and Syco believe he has what it takes to become a breakout solo star.

“He has the songwriting and music talent, good looks and cheeky Irish personality which made him a favourite in the States. A deal with Syco is going to be signed in the coming weeks and Niall is already back in the studio writing.

“There’s a hit single there too, which will probably be released early next year”.

This news indicates that Niall will be the first member to release solo material since the band split up last year.
