Irish sibling act The Corrs have reformed and will play their first live show in a decade this summer.

Andrea, Sharon, Caroline and Jim Corr first came to public attention twenty years ago, with the release of their debut album Forgiven, Not Forgotten in 1995.

Following rumours last month that they were set to reform, the band have now confirmed the news and named their first gig in a decade as Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park, set to take place in London on September 13th.

BBC presenter Chris Evans confirmed the news on his show this week and spoke to lead singer Andrea, who said: “We emerged after our lives going in different directions – babies and all that.”

“We’re in the process of making a new record, so feels just right to do this. It’s exciting.”

The last time the four were seen to perform together was for friends and family at the sad occasion of their late father’s funeral earlier this year.

In their heyday The Corrs were one of Ireland’s most successful musical acts, notching up 40 million album sales worldwide.
