The Twisted Pepper is reportedly set to close its doors this Thursday.

The venue, located on the capital’s Abbey Street, has played host to a wealth of DJs and live music acts over its seven years in operation.

Various reports today suggest that the venue is set to undergo a revamp with a focus on a food offering for the new venue, while many of the gigs planned for the Twisted Pepper will be moved.

A Facebook page for an event titled “Goodbye Pepper” was available online earlier on Monday but has since been deleted.

The description read:

The Twisted Pepper is closing it’s doors (sad emoticon)

It’s undeniable that it’s been one of the most significant venues for underground music in Dublin since it opened it’s doors in 2008 and we’re going to give it the send off it deserves at it’s last ever Thursday night party.

It’s been an honour to be a part of it’s final year and we want to invite you all to join us in saying goodbye and commemorate the end of an era.

Joining us on the night we have:

Space Jamm
SUSS
Pick N Mix
Rub A Dub

Full line-up coming soon.

There is no statement or reference to the reports on the official Twister Pepper Facebook page.

Fans of the bar and venue have been expressing their dismay at the reports on Twitter today.
