Justin Bieber loses Spotify’s most-streamed artist top spot

Don't stop Beliebing...

The Beliebers must be on their holliers.

Justin Bieber was releasing serious bangers this year – Sorry, What Do U Mean, Where Are You Now to name but a few.

However, his valiant efforts to keep us bopping on his Spotify during the Summer has not proved enough as he has been replaced by one of his many rapper friends.

The Biebs was knocked from the position of Spotify’s most-streamed artist list by none other than Drizzy, The Boy, maybe Rihanna’s soulmate – our favourite dad dancer – Drake.

The Take Care singer’s new album Views has been streamed 245 million times in the US alone after arriving on Spotify just last week.

Drake’s recent popularity surge has put him on 3.2 billion global streams on Spotify, just slightly overtaking J-Bieb – who has a healthy 3.17 billion.

The other artists that compile the list of the top 10 most streamed are Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Calvin Harris, Sam Smith, Avicii, Rihanna and Ellie Goulding.

Drake recently had his first number one single with One Dance, and according to Drake correspondent Ellen Tannam of the Her.ie team, the Views album promises bangers a-plenty.

Mr. Bieber is going to have to dig deep and maybe get some Drake-inspired dance moves going if he wants his chance at the top again.
