They had to cancel their gigs in the French capital due to the recent attacks.

They might be rocking their hometown of Dublin all this week, but Irish rockers U2 have announced that they will be wrapping up their world tour in Paris.

The band were scheduled to perform in the French capital on November 14th and November 15th, but following the attacks on Paris on November 13th, postponed the gigs.

“So much that was taken from Paris on the tragic night of November 13th is irreplaceable,” said Bono.

“For one night, the killers took love, took music, took peace of mind – but they couldn’t steal the spirit of that city.

“It’s a spirit our band knows well and will try to serve when we return for the postponed shows on December 6th and 7th.”

“We’re going to put on our best for Paris.”

Tickets for the November 14th gig will be valid on December 6th, while tickets from November 15th will be valid for December 7th.
