Passenger Confirms Dublin Date For Whispers Tour

Tickets go on the sale next Friday.

Following the runaway success of Let Her Go, Passenger has confirmed a date at the o2 Dublin this November.

The singer aka Mike Rosenberg will visit Dublin on Saturday 22 November as part of his Whispers tour, with tickets priced at €33.50 going on sale on Friday 25 April. Whispers is the singer’s sixth studio album and was recorded in the same small Sydney studio as its platinum-selling predecessor All The Little Lights with the same co-producer (Chris Vallejo).

The 29-year-old has described the album as the most “up” record that he has ever made.

“It’s quite cinematic. There are lots of big stories and big ideas. There are also some sombre moments about loneliness and death but, hey, it wouldn’t be a Passenger album without those. Mostly though, it’s a really positive album.”

And if you’re not lucky enough to get your hands on tickets to the show, you may catch the singer busking somewhere in the city.

“I’m planning a lot of busking over the next few months, before the festivals start. I can’t just rock up with an acoustic anymore – I’ve had to adapt. But busking is still my favourite thing to so. It’s such an honest form of playing music. It’s for everyone and it’s free. What could be better than that?”

Tickets go on sale from Ticketmaster.ie and outlets nationwide from 9am on Friday 25 April.
