Public Enemy Get A Lift To A Gig From English Superfan

Kevin Wells is a gig photographer in Sheffield so he is no stranger to being up close and personal with famous faces, but this story probably beats them all.

The band were left in a spot of trouble when their taxi left before they had finished signing copies of their new album prior to their show with the Prodigy on Saturday.

Wells told The Star: ‘Public Enemy had a taxi booked for 6.30pm, but it drove off before the guys had finished signing autographs.People started panicking and looking for someone to drive, so I volunteered.’

Wells described the journey as the ‘most surreal one’ of his life. We can imagine having Chuck D, Flavor Flav and Professor Griff in the back of your Ford Focus is pretty difficult to take in.
This is great as sometimes chance meetings with celebrities can result in pictures where they look rather unenthused:
