Fans have long-awaited to hear more material from the band but after an extended run of speculation, it has been confirmed by Brian May.
In an interview with BBC Wales, May said that the tentatively titled Queen Forever will contain music that dates back to the 1980s, with himself and Roger Taylor in charge of remastering the album.
May told the station that the pair had “found a few more tracks with Freddie singing and all of us playing. They are quite beautiful – the big, big ballads and the big, big epic sound.”
This will be the second album of studio recordings since Freddie’s death in 1991.
