Last year, Major Lazer’s annoyingly catchy track Lean On took the top spot for most streamed song on the planet. At the time the song had 526 million plays.
However it has now been knocked off the top in a big way by Drake, who’s song One Dance was announced as the most popular track on Spotify.
Drake’s track has been played over 882 million times.
The news was announced by Spotify on Twitter on Tuesday.

One Dance also features WizKid and Kyla.
Whether you’re a fan of the song or not, we’re not surprised it took this prize considering the huge success it had after it’s initial release. It stayed at No. 1 on the BillboardHot 100 for 14 weeks and the album Views held down the top spot on the Billboard 200 album chart for 13 weeks. It also became the first album to hit 1 billion streams on Apple Music and hit 1 billion total streamsjust over a month after its release.
