Genius artist Annie Clark aka St. Vincent is to try her hand at something other than music.
The musician, whose most recent (self-titled) album was released in 2014, is to direct a short horror film as part of an anthology project entitled XX.
Three other directors are involved; Karyn Kusama (director of The Invitation, Jennifer’s Body), Jennifer Lynch, and Jovanca Vuckovic.
Kusama told Killer POV that the films are very different, “but there are overriding anxieties about female-ness to a degree. And I want to say body horror is a component.”
The film will be distributed by XYZFilms and Magnolia Pictures, and we cannot wait to see this.
