Sunday Sessions Live 2 – Artist Profile: Ryan Sheridan

The FREE gig takes place on October 22nd.

Megan Cassidy

For the last year, we’ve been bringing you some of the best Irish and international acts through our Sunday Sessions.

We put you at the heart of the action with our first ever Sunday Sessions Live at Whelan’s back in July, with The Academic, Little Hours and David Keenan.

The FREE gig went down a storm, so let’s do it again.

Sunday Sessions Live 2 will take place on October 22nd and you can register for your free wristband below.

The gig is free of charge but we only have room for 400 people and were massively over-subscribed the last time so we’d move quickly if we were you!

We’ll be joined by Ryan Sheridan, Orla Gartland and Rosie Carney on the night and in the run-up to the event, we’ll be putting a spotlight on each act.

We’ve already had a look at Orla Gartland and Rosie Carney, so now let’s turn our attention to our headliner.

Name: Ryan Sheridan

Hometown: Monaghan

Ryan Sheridan has had one of the most diverse careers in  the industry. He started out as a dancer in Riverdance, touring the world at the tender age of sixteen.

Seventeen years on, Ryan is one of the most exciting recording artists in the country.

The release of his second album Here and Now, which he described as “a reminder of what I have and what I have to lose” was in the workings for four years but was well worth the wait.

Ryan joined us earlier this month for a Sunday Sessions for an amazing intimate performance.

He played his single This Is Our World and also covered Alex Clare’s Too Close.

Have a look.

You can see Ryan live alongside Orla Gartland and Rosie Carney at Whelan’s Live next Thursday 22nd October.

Limited wristbands available so RUN DON’T WALK if you want to nab one.
