Tickets go on sale this Friday

Scottish rockers Texas have today announced that they will play a headline show at The Olympia theatre on the 11th of November.

For this tour, the band will “present the findings of their 25 years in pop in a new, intimate arrangement, an evening with…” in which Sharleen will talk through her career and the band will play as a four piece skiffle ensemble.

Texas released their debut album Southside in 1989, along with the debut single I Don’t Want a Lover, a song which hit the top ten in the UK.

Southside debuted at number three.

However, it was the 90s which really saw Texas shine, with fourth album White on Blonde (1997), entering the UK Albums Chart at number one and becoming their biggest seller. It has since been certified six-times platinum in the UK and sold over 1.8 million copies.

In 2005, the band went on hiatus, embarking on solo projects before a 2011 reunion.

The Conversation was released on 20 May 2013.

Tickets priced from €34.50 go on sale this Friday at 9am.
