One of Cork’s most interesting bands, The Hard Ground, have announced an Irish tour to support the release of new album Tryptych.
The fivesome, made up of Marlene Enright, Pat Carey, Dave Duffy, Davy Ryan and Hugh Dillon, took a slightly different approach with the album, recording a series of three EPs over the course of the last year that have now been compiled for the long-play release.
Following a well-received performance at Temple Bar Tradfest, Tryptych will be launched at The Odessa in Dublin on May 7th, followed by performances in Kelly’s Bar in Galway (May 15th), Levis’ Cornerhouse in Ballydehob (May 23rd), The Oliver Plunkett Bar in Cork (May 28th), The Harbour Bar in Bray (June 26th) and McCarthy’s Bar in Dingle (June 27th).
This will be followed by two shows in Clare, Kenny’s in Lahinch on July 2nd and The Greyhound Bar in Kilkee on July 3rd.
