I’m getting serious festival fever.
Sitting in on this warm sunny Thursday has me pining for being outdoors, roaming around freely, chilling out with friends and checking out some of my favourite bands.
This Summer is chock full of deadly Irish festivals, including Longitude, Forbidden Fruit, Body and Soul and Electric Picnic.
One of the best stages at Electric Picnic for memorable, intimate and enjoyable performances, Other Voices released the lineup for their area this Summer and we seriously can’t wait.
Electro giants Le Galaxie are set to make a triumphant return with songs from their infectious album Le Club.
‘Atmosfolk’ duo Saint Sister will perform magical, minimalist, delicate tunes and rising folk singer-songwriter Julia Jacklin, who set chins wagging at the SXSW festival will be another act not to be missed.
NME described Margaret Glaspy as a musician who is ‘pure American muscle’, and she offers a strong, moody beat.
Karl Blau will offer a taste of modern country music and Jalen N’Gonda is sure to enchant festival goers with his tender soulful voice and bluesy arrangements.
Lastly, American psychedelic rock band Dr. Dog, will bring their energetic, theatrical show to the Other Voices stage.
Tickets for Electric Picnic are unfortunately completely sold out, however going from this lineup, Electric Picnic attendees are in for an unreal time.
