The soundtrack to Disney’s Frozen has beaten Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran to become the biggest selling album of the year on iTunes.

The digital music service released its end of year list today and confirmed that the runaway success of Idina Menzel track Let It Go had led the soundtrack to the top of the chart, despite record-breaking sales of Swift’s 1989 towards the end of the year.

Taylor took second place, followed by Coldplay’s Ghost Stories, Sam Smith’s In the Lonely Hour and Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack.

Pharrell’s Happy was the biggest selling single of the year, with John Legend’s All of Me, Katy Perry’s Dark Horse, Talk Dirty by Jason Derulo and Iggy Azalea’s Fancy rounding out the top five.
