The X Factor results show kicked off in style this evening with former winner Sam Bailey and USA group Fifth Harmony.
Another major highlight of the results show for fans was the guest performance from Michael Bublé and Idina Menzel singing Baby, It’s Cold Outside.
But what everyone was really waiting for was the results of the semi-final. With big performances from Ben Haenow and Fleur East in particular on Saturday evening, it looked to many that Lauren Platt was going to be in trouble as Andrea Faustini pulled out a great performance of Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball for his second song.
And indeed, fans of the show were proved right as the sing-off on the night came down to Lauren and Andrea, as Fleur and Ben had already secured their spot in next week’s final and after a tense finale, Lauren was booted off the show.
Now it all boils down to next weekend when the final of the show will take place, with the winner’s single to be revealed on Sunday, December 14th.
