There’s A Surprise New Favourite to Record The Next Bond Theme

We didn't see this one coming!

It has been speculated for some time that Ellie Goulding is recording the theme for the upcoming Bond movie Spectre but a new name has entered the ring.

Bookmakers William Hill have suspended betting on Radiohead being named as the artist behind the upcoming theme after a punter in the UK attempted to place a £15,000 bet on the band.

According to the Irish Mirror, a spokesperson for the bookmakers confirmed that both acts have been heavily backed – despite early money for Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith.

“The first gamble of the day was Ellie Goulding and punters were backing her as if she already had the gig but just as we were thinking of pulling the plug we had a load of bets for Radiohead including one customer who asked to place a £15,000 bet on the band at 10/1,” they said.

“There seem to be all kinds of rumours and the plot has had more twists and turns than a classic Bond tale, but surely nobody risks £15,000 on a hunch.”

Goulding fuelled rumours earlier this week when she posted a photo of herself outside Abbey Road Studios with the caption ‘That’s a wrap!’.
