Thirty Free Concerts To Be Held This Week As Part Of Temple Bar TradFest

Thirty free concerts including acts such as The Dublin Legends and Paddy Casey will take place this week as part of Temple Bar TradFest.

The annual festival begins on Wednesday and will run until Sunday February 1st, with the newly announced Front Row Sessions aiming to promote the new faces of trad as well as some of its most established artists.

A full schedule is available here and tickets for the Front Row Sessions are free and available on a first come first served basis at the gigs.

This year will also see the introduction of the TradFest Taste Trail, which will allow festival goers to purchase taste tickets and visit ten food outlets in the Temple Bar region.

Other gigs at the festival include a finale performance at Dublin Castle by John Sheahan, Declan O’Rourke, Susan McKeown and special guests, as well as DeBARRA, Marc O’Reilly and The Hard Ground, Mick Flannery, Louise Mulcahy, The Undertones and Matt Molloy with John Carty.

TradFest utilises some of the city’s most unique venues, with performance taking place at St Michan’s Church, St Patrick’s Cathedral, City Hall, House Of Lords on College Green and St Werburgh’s Church.

The festival regularly attracts over 18,000 international visitors each year and tickets are now on sale from www.templebartrad.com.
