We’re pretty excited!
It had been rumoured some months back that popular Irish band U2 were set to play some homecoming gigs later this year, and now it looks like that’s going ahead.
Speaking to The Irish Times, Bono revealed: “We are coming home… It was really hard to figure out a way of doing it, but we just had to make it happen.”
More details of the gig will be revealed this Wednesday, with exact dates and venues expected to be announced.
The band are currently touring their Innocence And Experience show worldwide, but always wanted to bring it to Ireland.
“It got to the stage where we just had to tell our people, ‘You have to make this happen, you have to make this work, this is where we are from and we have to bring the tour home,” Bono continued.
Bono is happy to be returning to Ireland.
“I am so happy we are bringing this home.”
The gigs are expected to take place at the end of November.
