Ben Haenow had a bit of a giggle during his first TV appearance since being crowned X Factor champ when the hosts of Good Morning Britain gave him the opportunity to propose to his long-term girlfriend live on air.
Ben had recently revealed that he had plans to propose to his girlfriend Jessica Jones and when asked by hosts Susanna Reid and Ben Shepherd was he feeling under pressure to get down on one knee he responded; “Yeah, my missus has practically cut her finger off and left it round the house!”
He went on to confirm once more that he hopes to marry her, “Yes, I love her to bits and we’ve been together a long time.”
Presenter Ben Shepherd seized the moment though, and told Ben that now was the opportunity for him to pop the question, and directed him to look into camera four and ask her.
Despite being caught on the hop, Ben handled it well and, looking straight into the camera said, “Jess, will you…. Put the coffee on.”
Oh well, we’ll have to wait for another time then!
