Yesterday the US, Australia and Canada celebrated Mother’s Day. In a surprise release, Eminem dropped a brand new music video dedicated to him Mum.
In the track ‘Headlights‘ Eminem apologises to mother, Debbie Mathers, for his hurtful lyrics in the past, particularly his hit, ‘Cleaning Out My Closet’, which the rapper no longer performs.
The video, shot by filmmaker Spike Lee, is captured from the Debbie’s view point and was shot in Detroit. Eminem tells his mother that she is “still beautiful” despite their turbulent relationship. The video and lyrics are both extremely emotional and poignant.
The song features Fun frontman, Nate Ruess, and we have no doubt that this will be another massive hit for Eminem.
