WATCH: Longford girl's version of Ruth B's 'Lost Boy' is just stunning

It's no secret that Irish people have serious musical talent.

We have incredible stars that were born and bred on our shores, including Bono, Sinéad O' Connor and Hozier. There's something about our country that it breeds plenty of incredible singers.

One singer in particular that is sure to hit the headlines in the future is Longford student Cara Temple.

The 17-year-old girl really wowed us with this version of Lost Boy from Canadian singer-songwriter Ruth B - with her rendition sounding almost exactly like the original.

Not one to toot her own horn, the aunt of the very modest Cara, Annette Temple uploaded this incredible video of the student singing to Facebook and her voice will surely amaze you.

"My fabulous niece, Cara (17) from Edgeworthstown in Co.Longford, (who'll probably kill me) but this is too good not to share!"
