After years of presenting the popular talent show, the host has gotten in on the action.
TV show host Ryan Seacrest sang live for the first time on American Idol this week, taking to the stage to sing “Right Here Waiting” for last night’s finale.
Teaming up with singer-songwriter Richard Marx, judge Randy Jackson introduced the presenter, alongside Seacrest’s parents and sister. (We don’t think the contestants have to worry!)

Ryan Seacrest has already signed a one-year deal to return to American Idol for a 14th run next year.
