Aretha Franklin is simply a living legend and is one of the best-selling female artists of all time.
From the classic R.E.S.P.E.C.T. (1967) to Get It Right from 1983, her back catalogue is iconic and extensive.
The Kennedy Center Honours were held in Washington D.C. earlier this month but the television broadcast came later, and with it an absolutely magnificent rendition of (You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman, that brought tears to the eyes of President Barack Obama.

According to The Wall Street Journal, she performed the song as a tribute to the singer-songwriter Carole King who was honoured at the ceremony.
