X Factor winner Steve Brookstein has claimed that Simon Cowell’s ex-girlfriends tried to seduce him just a few hours before the final in 2004.
The singer (46) has made the claims in his new autobiography Getting Over the X where he states that Sinitta and Jackie St Clair approached him in Simon Cowell’s dressing room the day of the final – while Simon was there.
He claims that the judge called him to his dressing room just before the final show kicked off and that when he entered, the two women cornered him.
“Simon just sat there smoking and grinning,” he stated. “Jackie St Clair opened her long coat. That left just a little thong and high heels. It was impossible to avoid her breasts as she strutted towards me. Then Sinitta followed behind.
“Both had me up against the dressing room door. Sinitta undid her top and they began to touch me,” he claimed. “Simon just sat there beaming.”
Steve then stated that he told the two women to stop before he “tore into” Simon who merely said he was helping him to “relax”.
“Over and over in my mind were his words that he was trying to relax me, but for me, this was the beginning of the end,” he stated.
Steve split from Simon Cowell’s record label just nine short months after winning the show.
