Carole Baskin “thankful” Joe Exotic was not pardoned by Trump

Miss Big Cat herself has weighed in.

Carole Baskin has said she is “thankful” that nemesis and fellow big cat lover Joe Exotic was not pardoned by Trump during his last day in office.

The animal rights activist and TV personality has had a long-running feud with the Tiger King and seemingly would much rather him remain in prison, which is absolutely fair enough considering Exotic was embroiled in a plot to have Baskin killed.

Speaking to TMZ, Baskin said she is “thankful” that Exotic will remain behind bars. “If I understand the notice I got from the prison system, he’s already gotten another month added to his sentence by not obeying prison rules,” she added.

Exotic narrowly (or not narrowly at all) missed out on a pardon by Donald Trump earlier this week as the former President of the United States embarked on a ‘Pardonpalooza’ in which he granted clemency to over 140 people before exiting office.

Exotic was not one of them, despite being absolutely sure that he would be released from his 22 year jail term. He and his representative were so convinced that Exotic would be pardoned that they even had a limo waiting outside prison to pick him up when the time came.

According to his private investigator Eric Love, the pair were certain that Exotic would be exonerated – so much so that they had a limo parked outside Joe’s prison awaiting his release.

“We’re going to be celebrating,” Love, told Metro.co.uk. “We have good reason to believe it will come through. We’re confident enough we already have a limousine parked about half a mile from the prison. We are really in action mode right now.

“I’ve got make-up, wardrobe, the whole unit that will come up. The first thing Joe wants to do, he wants his hair done. He hasn’t had his hair done in two-and-a-half years. That’s the first order of business. Then we’ll probably go and get some pizzas, steak, maybe a McRib.”

Baskin is no doubt delighted that Exotic will not be getting himself a McRib any time soon.

She does, however, have some ideas as to how the Tiger King could reduce his years in prison.
