If you have a car, it might be time to be a little more careful about where you’re leaving your keys.
We may be used to having a giggle at some of the brilliant jokes on the Garda Traffic Twitter page but they were doling out some serious advice this evening following a spate of car thefts.

Gardaí have warned that thieves have now found a method of ‘fishing’ for keys through people’s letterboxes and if left on a hall table, they are easily accessible to this who are on the prowl.
So, before you head to bed tonight, make sure to stow them safely or you could be waking up to a nasty surprise!
