Harvey Weinstein is reportedly suing his old business, The Weinstein Company.
According to Buzzfeed News, he is suing TWC because he believes they have emails that will exonerate him.
The disgraced producer was fired on October 8, after more than 40 women came forward and accused him of sexual assault.
When his former company fired him, he was cut off from accessing his email account – which he now claims will contains information that will help with his case.
Weinstein’s lawyers wrote in the court papers filed yesterday: “Mr. Weinstein believes his email account — which is the primary, if not only, account he used during the term of his employment by the Company — will contain information exonerating him, and therefore the Company, from claims that may be asserted against him or the Company.”
Investigations are currently underway of Weinstein’s sex crimes in Los Angeles, New York, and London.
