Everyday hundreds and thousands of people take photos of themselves on their phones, but a new form of the picture-taking craze has sparked outrage online.
Selfies with Homeless People is the latest disturbing series of images that young people have been taking with their cameras.
The images have been uploaded to a hub by Jason Feifer, who has become a documentarian of sorts and has gathered some of the most unfortunate images from Twitter of this new trend.
The selfies show many young people giving the thumbs up or joking around with homeless people in the background.
Many people took to twitter to voice their anger:
Want to stare #evil in its face? And I do mean the blonde.. People making #selfies with homeless people http://t.co/IqtBBYffX1 #disgusting

Such callousness! A poor taste Tumblr about selfies with homeless people (no I’m not giving a link). Hope this dies a quick death.

“There’s something about the repetitiveness of it … you see it happen over and over again, people who don’t know each other and made the same decisions. You start having this larger discussion about what’s motivating people to do this,” Feifer told USA Today.
“There’s so much absurd, angry stuff on the Internet, and it’s worth remembering that everybody can see this, so be more thoughtful” Feifer concluded.
Feifer is also the man behind Selfies at Serious Places and Selfies at Funerals.
