One person has already been refused entry to America through Dublin Airport pre-clearance

Laura Holland

And so it begins.

One person has been denied entry to America when trying to pass through pre-clearance at Dublin Airport. According to RTÉ, a spokesperson for the Department of Transport confirmed the incident.

This news follows Trump’s decision to ban refugees from entering the United States. He put an indefinite ban on refugees from Syria and also a 90-day bar on citizens from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.

Unfortunately for someone trying to gain access via Dublin the ban denied them the access.

Dublin and Shannon are two of the airports around the world that offer pre-clearance when travelling to America. It means that you don’t have to go through any checks once your land.

It is not yet known who the person is or what their nationality is.
