Hockey is coming home... and Ireland are through to the World Cup finals.
"Gillian Pender scored the decisive penalty to send Graham Shaw's side through to the final after both sides were inseparable after 60 minutes of normal time," reports RTÉ.

Against Spain they had taken the lead 1-0 but their opponents equalised meaning it came down to penalties.

They had earlier this week beaten India in the quarter-finals also in a thrilling penalty shootout.

Ireland were ranked just 16th in world prior to the tournament but will take their place in the final two in what is a magnificent achievement for this team.
