It's a great catch phrase, but did you know that beauty sleep is an actual thing?

It's true. In fact; researchers who have looked into this have found that people who miss out on sleep actually appear less attractive to others. And what's worse, a couple of bad nights is enough to make a person look "significantly" more ugly, their sleep experiments suggest. Yikes. It seems dark-circled "panda" eyes and puffy lids can even put others off socialising with you, the researchers found, and people were rated by strangers as less healthy and approachable when they had tired faces.
