YES!

The wonderfulWhatsApp has a new update, and we’re honestly so delighted about it.

Why?

Well, this new update will fix one really annoying flaw that WhatsApp has.

While we love the whole group chat element of the App, one thing has always annoyed us.

You can be added into a group chat, without the ability to accept of decline the offer.

Basically, if someone has your number, you can be added into any sort of chat, even if you don’t want to be in it.

Sure, you can leave immediately, but it would be nice to have the ability to decline, right?

Well, now you can.

In a statement, WhatsApp has said:

“WhatsApp groups continue to connect family, friends, coworkers, classmates and more. As people turn to groups for important conversations, users have asked for more control over their experience.”

“Today, we’re introducing a new privacy setting and invite system to help you decide who can add you to groups.

“To enable it, go to Settings in your app, then tap Account > Privacy > Groups and select one of three options: ‘Nobody’, ‘My Contacts’, or ‘Everyone’.”

This will allow you to dictate who can add you into groups, which is honestly class.
