Dromoland Castle introduce dog-friendly hotel rooms to give your pooch the perfect stay

Jade Hayden

Ah, stop.

Where are you heading on your staycashe? Are you going on a staycashe? Would you rather keep your money until we can safely travel abroad and have a regular old holiday instead?

Whatever your plans, chances are you’ll enjoy hearing about dog-friendly hotel rooms. You may not have any plans to go anywhere but listen, it’s an adorable concept, okay?

The guys over at Co Clare’s Dromoland Castle have just announced a limited number of dog-friendly rooms, so you won’t need to leave your pooch at home the next time you’re planning a stay in the really quite exceptional hotel.

The new dog-friendly rooms include a selection of dog-friendly additions too, including beds, towels, bowls, door mats and referrals to local groomers.

Dromoland Castle also offers walking maps of the extensive estate and recommendations of some wonderful parks and walks to ensure you – and your pooch – aren’t cooped up for your entire stay.

These dog-friendly stays cost €40 per dog per night, which really isn’t all that much of an additional cost considering what you’d potentially be splashing out on a kennel or dog sitter.

Just picture the scene: you and your Bichon Frise Jonathan living it up in Dromoland for the summer, going on walks, chilling out on your respective beds.

Incredible scenes all round.
