I have good news, because Silver Swan Recruitment is looking for a couple to manage a luxury barge for the summer.
And by couple, we mean two people that know each other – so it could be best friends or loverssss.
The job description reads:
“We have an exciting opportunity for an established couple to manage a luxury barge as it cruises through the beautiful waterways of France. This role will suit a strong couple who have proven experience of communicating well together.”
“The couple are needed over Summer and will work as hostess and deckhand to ensure that the special guests of the barge are well looked after. This is a position for an enthusiastic couple who have excellent hospitality experience, are organised and are prepared to journey through the varied waterways of France.”
So, what will you be expected to do?
The responsibilities are highlighted as:
- Navigating the waterways of France safely
- Using various ropes, knots and radio and navigational equipment (training will be provided)
- Management of events and dinner parties during guests’ stay
- Generally ensuring all the guests’ needs are met and making their stay on board an enjoyable one
And what all is in it for you? (Aside from the obvious summer of fun!)
The package includes £1100 each per month, along with free accommodation on the barge and free meals.
So basically, you’ll have no expenses.
You’ll also get holiday pay and personal use of the barge when not in use, along with the chance to try some great wines and explore the French waterways.
