This is the PERFECT spot for a Christmas shopping weekend away

Christmas shopping

Brought to you by Bullitt Hotel.

The time for Christmas shopping is almost upon us.

This can be a pretty stressful time of the year. Is it really okay to get your dad another book? Are you sure you didn’t get those earrings for Mum three years ago? And do you need to get anything for that guy from Tinder you’ve been dating for a month now?

Yeah. Christmas shopping can be awful. But, honestly, that’s mostly because we leave it all until the last minute.

The perfect way to get your Christmas shopping done stress-free is to put aside one weekend in November or December and just go out and do it all. And do you know the best way to go about this? A weekend away, obviously!

Now, of course, we’re not suggesting you go jetting off to New York for all your Christmas gifts (can you imagine the baggage costs?), but there are plenty of places in Ireland to zip off to for the weekend.

One of the better shopping destinations in the country is the lovely Belfast city. Its independent shops around the city, as well as the Victoria Square shopping centre, have everything you need to go Christmas shopping for everyone you know. And maybe a bit for you too. It’s Christmas – treat yo’self.

A perfect place to stay for this shopping trip is Bullitt Hotel in Belfast. It’s right in the middle of the city in the Cathedral Quarter, so not even a five minute walk from the shopping centre. Ideal. And they have SUCH comfy rooms – kitted out with kingsize beds and AMAZING rain showers.

They’re all about making the most of Belfast and insist on fueling you up for the day by giving you a little ‘Grub to Go’ bag in the mornings, which includes orange juice, granola, and some fruit. How cute though?

They also have an amazing rooftop bar which has a covered and heated garden so you can sip your cocktails in style even if it’s lashing down.

The garden is lit by fairy lights – magical – and there are cosy blankets to snuggle up with. Plus they have loads of cocktails which is pretty crucial tbf.

If you get tired of shopping, their rooftop Tipsy Tea is there for you. It’s a wonderfully snazzy afternoon tea with mini-doughnuts, sandwiches, and gin cocktails. Fancy af.

For autumn and winter, you can get a room there for only €140 and that includes a sharing platter for two and a bottle of prosecco, so make sure to bring your bestie or your SO.

It’s the perfect little trip and sure, you’re getting your Christmas shopping done so that’s productive. Right?

Stay, play, and get a head start on your festive shopping this autumn with an overnight stay in Bullitt, including a sharing platter for two and a bottle of prosecco in Bullitt’s rooftop bar for just £125 (about €140) for a room.
