A businessman in China forked out a whopping $2 million for a Tibetan Mastiff puppy over the weekend, the most money anyone has ever spent on a dog.
Tibetan Mastiffs breed are particular popular amongst the Chinese as they are known for being ferocious, loyal, and protective.
According to AFP an industry insider explained that higher-priced sales are “just breeders hyping each other up, and no money actually changes hands.”
It is said that the new owner intends to use his $2 million dog for breeding
