Singer, Ed Sheeran, granted Dublin girl Triona Priestley’s dying wish earlier today.
Using the hashtag #SongForTri, friends and family of the teenager began an online campaign to make Triona’s wish to speak with Sheeran come true.
Castleknock Community College classmates continued their efforts throughout the weekend and on Sunday #SongForTri began trending in Ireland.

This morning, after thousands of messages of support, Sheeran spoke to Triona on the phone shortly before the young girl passed away.

An outpour of condolences has begun online with the teen’s idol Sheeran tweeting his sympathies.

The 15-year-old who was terminally ill with cystic fibrosis lost her battle this afternoon.
