3 Cork spa weekends you need to book in before the end of the year

Cassie Stokes

Word of the year has to be staycation.

In fact before this year I don’t think I ever went on a staycation, I definitely did a few weekends away in Ireland but a weekend away is very different to taking a few days off work and heading out of your county to discover the bets parts of a new one.

Every county has some hidden gems, but Cork is one county that has everyone talking.

Now let’s go one step further and treat yourself to a staycation with a day at the spa thrown into your plans. Well I have three spas that you might want to try out over the next few weeks.

The best part is is that we’ve done all the hard work for you and below are three spas in Ireland that you need to put on the list for your upcoming staycation.

The Spa at Eccles

If you haven’t staycationed in West Cork you need to get there asap. Eccles Hotel & Spa is on the shores of Glengarriff overlooking Bantry Bay. They have three luxurious treatment rooms filled with the ultimate selection of VOYA Organic spa treatments.

The treatments they offer blend natural, organic, sustainable, locally and ethically sourced ingredients designed to give immediate, visible results and long-term benefits.

They have loads of treatments to choose from and you can also make your trip more about wellness and do some yoga or take their complimentary bike out for a spin and of Course the walks are stunning too.

Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa

Inchydoney has one of the most beautiful beaches you will find in Cork, you could walk for miles. The spa is also very popular with tourist and this year staycationers! They offer a unique experience in Seawater Therapies as well more traditional Spa Treatments and Rituals.

This is another great spot for all round wellness and relaxation, beautiful walks along the beach, not a pub in sight and if you stay in the hotel you have access to the swimming pool.

The Spa at Castlemartyr Resort

Last but not least, Castlemartyr is a stunning hot to visit about 30 mins away from Cork city. The grounds are perfect for a relaxing walk and the spa is also a great place to chill out.

They offer a range of different treatments featuring ESPA. They call it a “Wellness, Spa and Fitness Centre unlike any other, and is the ideal destination for relaxing and pampering during your next spa break.”
