This close-up of Kim shows just how much make-up you need for the Met Gala

She looked amazing.

It’s gotta be one of the most nerve-wrecking red-carpet experiences – up there with the Oscars.

And we have to say, this year Kim Kardashian totally won the Met Gala rocking a gorgeous gold Versace gown.

It’s probably not the easiest dress to wear – but the mum-of-three’s bod looked unbelievable in it.

Kim furthermore won praise for her makeup; heavier than usual, she sported a head-turning dark smokey eye and strip lashes.

Wowsers!

However, now a close-up of Kim has shown just how much time and effort needs to go into your makeup for an event of this calibre.

Posted to CelebFace Insta account – it has 330K fans – you can tell that Kimmy went for a heavy foundation, powder, contouring, and highlighter to achieve the look.

Full-coverage goals – and definitely merited considering she had to face hundreds of cameras and stay out all night.

As always, Kim was worked on by Makeup By Mario, now a celebrity in his own right too.

He posted a snap of Ms Kardashian to his Insta, revealing the products they had decided on for the gala.

“For skincare, I used @RodialBeauty – Dragon Blood Cleansing Water,” he stated, adding that for makeup, he used items from his own cosmetics line collaboration with Kim.

Here’s the list…

  • Albanian eye shadow from the KKW x MARIO palette
  • KKW x Argenis eyeshadow stick in Dramatico
  • Conceal Bake and Brighten Kit in Shade 7
  • Baking Powder in shade Bake 2
  • Brightening Powder in shade Brightening 2
  • Creme Contour Sticks in Medium I and II
  • Powder Contour and Highlight Palette in Medium
  • Creme Lipstick in Classic K

Phew!

Meanwhile, Kim’s hair was created by stylist Chris Appleton; she went for Ariana Grande-inspired vibes to complete her look.

All-in-all… Stunners!
