Another day, another bonkers nail trend that makes you really worry for humanity.
The latest in freaky manicures comes in the form of colouring pencil nails.

And while they are SO impractical and kind of weird, they’re also wicked impressive.
Instagram user @nail_sunny created the manicure that’s colourful and totally bonkers.
The nail salon, which is based in Russia, posted a video on how the look was achieved.

And in a shocking turn of events, I learned that ACTUAL colouring pencils were used.
Which means that the nails can actually be used to write, and colour.
So that’s a practical use I guess.
An acrylic base was used, with intricate nail art added after – and then came the pencils.

The nail artist that created this look is no stranger to crazy nail art.
A few months ago she designed royal wedding nails.
Oh, she was also responsible for those violent nails that looked like teeth.
I’ll stick to a shellac for now…
