As far as hair colours go, this is a bit of a wild one.
This year, we've seen blackberry hair and 'Hollywood opal' hues which are all gorgeous in their own right, but we think this
Harry Potter trend is gone a bit too far (and we definitely won't be trying it).
It consists of various Hogwarts-themed colours going into your hair in square strands.
The Gryffindor-inspired dye job was first spotted by
Allure on Virginia-based hairstylist Crystal Casey's
Instagram.
Crystal originally posted the experimental colour at the beginning of the month, but a few days ago she revealed the lengthy process it took with a video tutorial.
“The colour itself was inspired by Gryffindor from the
Harry Potter movies, with my own twist, of course," Casey told
Allure.
The dye job was created by mixing
basic balayage with a colour-melting technique, resulting in a checkered-like pattern.
We have to say, the colours are gorgeous and it turned out ~*magically*~ but we don't think we'd have the balls to try it.
However, if you're a
Harry Potter fan then this is right up your alley... just not too sure where you'd get it done.
