Dunnes have a €25 dupe for €2,700 Goyard bag

Dunnes is just the gift that keeps on giving!

This time it's in the form of a dupe for the eye-wateringly expensive Goyard tote bag, so expensive in fact they don't have the official price on their website.

If you do some digging you'll find that they can come in at up to €2,700 which a lot of us just don't have lying around.

There is a good reason why they're so pricey though as Goyard bags are handcrafted by skilled artisans who have been trained for years in the traditional methods of leatherwork and trunk making.

Each bag is made with meticulous attention to detail, from the cutting and stitching of the fabric to the painting and polishing of the hardware. 

Yet some of us want the designer look on a student budget and just can't afford to be dishing out the downpayment on a car for a tote bag that will get bet to bits on the Luas.

So that's where Dunnes have come in with their €25 dupe and it's a good one but don't just take our word for it.

Aisling Finlay, @aislingfinlay2 on TikTok, shared the find online and took the chance to sing the bag's praises.

Speaking in her video she said, "I was just in Dunnes Stores and I got my hands on the Goyard bag, definitely pronouncing that wrong.

"It's literally the exact same but I was looking online and the designer one is like two and a half grand. Would you be well?

"This one was only €25/£20, so to close the bag it has a little buckle there and then it also has a little purse that attaches on as well. "€25/£20 and I think it's just the perfect size."

The description of the bag on the retailer's website reads, "Elevate almost any ensemble with glamorous touches like this tote bag.

"Created in faux leather with gold-toned hardware, it displays an eye-catching geometric print. The main compartment features a single clasp closure and small zippered pocket.

"It comes with a detachable zippered pouch for cosmetics and more."

Okay if anyone has a birthday coming up soon, you now know what you're getting.
