The fruit you need to know all about if you suffer from acne

It can really help.

acne

The good news is it’s delicious too.

Apparently, the fruit, high in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, is extremely beneficial for skin prone to acne and/or problem pores.

Given the fact that its water content is so high, it’s not all that surprising and upping your intake of watermelon can make a huge difference to your skin’s hydration.

As proof of its popularity, Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask sold out within five hours and now has 20,000 people on its waiting list, according to Byrdie.

The brains behind the product, Sarah Lee and Christine Chang, say that the lycopene found in watermelon has anti-inflammatory properties which help to soothe the redness associated with acne and speed up the healing process.

Aside from the fact that it’s good for your skin, very tasty, it’s also just the thing to help quench the thirst we have during this sticky, clammy, humid weather (can you tell we’re totally sick of it!)
