Finally managed to nab yourself an appointment with your hairstylist and wondering if the time has come for a bit of a change?

I think most of us are dying for a bit of a do-over or a fresh start now that lockdown is ending and life is (hopefully!) returning to a more normal state.

And if you are looking for a bit of a shake-up in regards to your hair colour – how about going red?

When it comes to high-impact hair colours, nothing beats red, whether entirely subtle and soft or totally bold and vibrant. All varieties of red hair colour shades are trending at the moment, and the colour is hotter than ever. And the best news? Anyone can go red – you just need to find the best shade out there for your skin tone and complexion.

For us fair-skinned ladies, experts always point out that strawberry red shades are a good fit for light skin with pink undertones. The hue is a natural and warm shade of red with plenty of life.

If you are unsure of what to go for, talk to your colourist or stylist, and they will be able to help you.

When it comes to fading, coloured red hair is known to fade faster than most other shades, but there are some things you can do to keep your colour glossy and vibrant for as long as possible.

For instance, keeping your hair in a healthy condition helps, so make sure to include some hydrating masks or a good leave-in conditioner as part of your weekly hair regime. Go for a shampoo designed for coloured hair to minimize fade, and also make sure to use a heat-protecting spray if you are curling or blow-drying your hair frequently.
