Miley Cyrus has a dramatic new hairstyle and it’s all thanks to her mum Tish

Miley Cyrus decided her birthday was the perfect time to change her hair and went for a pretty radical transformation.

As you’ll see on her mum Tish’s Instagram, she started with a chop courtesy of her mother and then went to the professionals to finish the job.

Although your mum might want to get your hands on your long locks, it’s rare that any daughter will allow this to happen so fair play to Miley for taking the plunge.

However, she then visited Sally Hershberger, her go-to hair guru, and the end result definitely makes a style statement – a full-on mullet.

Sally uploaded the below snap with the caption “punk vibe” and it’s what you might call a look.

Tish also shared an Instagram post, tagging her daughter where she explained that she was giving her daughter a “birthday haircut” before we see the scissors in action.

The singer turned 27 at the weekend and as it’s been a complicated couple of months, it’s no surprise that she felt like changing things up.

What better way to do so than opt for a new haircut?

Miley Cyrus and her husband Liam Hemsworth announced their split in August after just nine months of marriage. Miley was then linked to musician Cody Simpson but their relationship is thought to have ended recently.

Liam and Miley, who wed in December of last year, had been in an on-again-off-relationship since 2009 when they met on the set of The Last Song.

A statement from their representatives was released at the time:

“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time.

“Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers.

“They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
